French Phrase of the Day: Tu bouffe quoi ce soir?

French Phrase of the Day: What’d you eat tonight?

Malbouffe is translated as junk food/chow/grub. So if you ask “tu bouffe quoi ce soir”, it’s essentially like asking what’d you make for yourself at home tonight… and not in a real cooking sense, but more like a “I heated up ramen and ate it standing at my kitchen counter” way.

Or perhaps like throwing together a soy ham and cheese sandwich after a night out drinking with friends, which may or may not be what I did at one in the morning last night.
