A couple months ago, I checked out the one-hour, one-act comedy show “How to Become Parisian in One Hour”. Rio heard about it from a couple of his coworkers (a Brit and South African) who said it was pretty funny… and it turned out, it was. The show basically consists of French stereotypes and “tips” on how to become Parisian in one hour – like what to do in a club, in a cab, at a restaurant, and so on. The French comedian – Olivier Giraud – also rifts on the audience’s nationalities with a heavy emphasis on American stereotypes.
Overall, it was a nice way to spend the evening and the guy was nice enough to take photos with audience members in front of a step-and-repeat. Apparently, he’s going to be expanding to other countries, which I’m not sure how well it’ll do, but while an expat in Paris, I recommend checking it out!
The show was extended into 2013, so check it out if you’re in town!
