French Phrase of the Day: Enterrement de Vie de Fille/Garcon

French Phrase of the Day: Bachelorette Party/Bachelor Party

That’s what I went back to NYC for last week! I learned this phrase from a French couple who started chatting me and Rio up last night at dinner. (They do love us New Yorkers.)

Translated literally it means the funeral/burial of the life of a girl/boy. The Frenchie explained to me that it basically means the end of the young innocent life and the loss of virginity. Talk about a way serious phrase for a fun party!
