Photo of triathlete crossing the finish line on the blue carpet.
I went to go cheer on a friend/my trainer yesterday for his first triathlon – Triathlon de Paris 2012. Since I was out partying the night before I, unfortunately, couldn’t get mon cul out of bed early enough and missed him. He also was a speed demon finishing in 2 hours and 12 minutes – number 588 out of 4,500!!
Despite this, it was still great to see the last leg of the triathletes crossing the finish line and cheering them on in Franglish with “Allez! Allez! Great job!” I also loved seeing what they looked like near the end – whether they were all ruddy-faced and exhausted or energized. For my Paris Versailles 10-mile run in September, I’ll probably look like the former.
