Street Pianos

From June 22 to July 8, 40 pianos will be placed throughout Paris – in touristy areas, public spaces and parks – and are free for you to play. Started in 2008, “Play Me, I’m Yours” is a concept from this British artist named Luke Jerram and many of the pianos are decorated by local artists. I vaguely remember seeing pianos in NYC a while back, and upon some research, sure enough – they did it back in 2010.

This is the piano I came across by Square des Batignolles in the 17th arrondissement.
